Job Title: Construction Materials TechnicianJob Description This role supports industrial and commercial construction projects by performing field testing, inspection, and documentation of concrete, soils, foundations, and related materials. The position is primarily field-based, often independently, ensuring that construction materials meet project specifications and industry standards. Key Responsibilities + Perform field testing and inspections on construction sites + Test concrete (slump, air, temperature, strength) following ACI standards + Test soil compaction and moisture using a nuclear gauge + Observe foundations, earthwork, and fill placement to ensure compliance + Write clear reports with test results and observations + Communicate findings to engineers and project managers + Coordinate with contractors and site teams daily + Follow all safety rules and proper equipment handling procedures Required Skills & Experience + 3+ years of construction materials testing experience + ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I certification + Nuclear Density Gauge certification and safety training + Knowledge of concrete and soil testing methods + Ability to read construction plans and specifications + Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Additional Skills + Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks + Strong written and verbal communication + Detail-oriented with a focus on safety and accuracy Work Environment This role is primarily field-based on active construction sites, requiring frequent outdoor work in varying weather conditions. The position involves operating testing equipment and following all safety and regulatory standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Fort Worth, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
