Hartland, New Brunswick.

Position Overview
NB Power
is seeking
Construction Managers
for a project near
Hartland, NB
. The scheduled start date for this role is
June 15th, 2026
, with the project expected to continue through
December 31st, 2027
.
This position will be based on-site, supporting the construction and execution of a major 345 kV terminal and transmission infrastructure project related to the new 200MW wind generation facility.
This site will operate 24/7. Construction Managers will work on a
rotational schedule
consisting of
7 consecutive 12-hour shifts followed by 7 days off
.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate site mobilization activities
Oversee and manage daily construction execution on site
Direct and coordinate all construction activities and contractors
Conduct regular site meetings and provide updates to the Project Manager
Monitor construction schedules and report progress
Ensure quality control standards are met and deficiencies are addressed
Coordinate materials, equipment, and workforce requirements
Ensure all site safety and security procedures are followed
Enforce field change authorization processes with contractors
Assist with environmental protection and quality assurance requirements
Identify and escalate change requests when necessary
Support project closeout activities and final reporting
*Mandatory Qualifications
Must be a qualified Journeyman Lineman holding a valid Certificate of Qualification issued under the Apprenticeship and Occupational Certification Act
Minimum 20 years
of experience
as a Power Line Technician (PLT)
Extensive experience in substations and terminal construction
Previous supervisory or leadership experience in construction environments
Valid driver’s license required
Key Competencies Preferences
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
Strong understanding of construction safety practices and procedures
Experience coordinating contractors and field operations
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a project team
Bilingualism (
English/French)
considered an asset
Additional Information
Rotational schedule:
7 days on / 7 days off (12-hour shifts)
NB Power vehicle will be provided
