Project Manager / Construction Manager – QSR & Retail Construction
Position Overview
Elevate Service Group and Infinity Group Construction are seeking a highly organized, driven, and experienced Construction / Project Manager to lead the estimating, tendering, coordination, and execution of quick-service restaurant (QSR), retail, and commercial construction projects across Ontario and select Canadian markets, starting within the GTA and South Western Ontario. This individual will oversee projects from pre-construction through completion, including bidding, budgeting, subcontractor management, scheduling, field coordination, client communication, quality control, and closeout. The ideal candidate understands the pace and precision required for QSR and retail environments and can consistently deliver high-quality projects on time and on budget. Elevate and Infinity have a long track of building and renovating stores, and we are seeking to expand this division with the right team member to leverage our vast network of opportunities.
The role requires strong leadership, construction knowledge, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Construction & Tendering
Lead project bidding, estimating, and tendering processes for QSR and retail construction projects
Review architectural, mechanical, electrical, and structural drawings and specifications
Solicit and negotiate subcontractor and supplier pricing
Prepare project budgets, scopes, schedules, and bid submissions
Identify project risks, scope gaps, cost exposures, and value engineering opportunities
Develop accurate cost estimates and maintain target margins
Project Management
Manage full-cycle construction projects including renos, tenant improvements, retrofits, and new store build-outs
Coordinate in-house technicians, subcontractors, suppliers, permits, inspections, and site logistics
Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget
Track labour, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs throughout the project lifecycle
Maintain detailed project schedules, reporting, documentation, and change orders
Conduct regular site visits and field coordination meetings
Resolve project issues proactively and maintain project momentum
Client & Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, landlords, consultants, and trades
Maintain strong customer relationships through clear communication and accountability
Deliver a high standard of professionalism and client service
Provide regular project updates, timelines, and budget reporting
Ensure finished projects meet client expectations and quality standards
Quality & Operational Excellence
Maintain a high level of workmanship and attention to detail
Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, building codes, and safety requirements
Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement in project delivery
Support development of scalable systems, processes, and subcontractor networks
Qualifications & Experience
5+ years of construction / project management experience in commercial construction
Strong experience with QSR, restaurant, retail, or multi-site rollout projects preferred
Experience with estimating, tendering, subcontractor procurement, and budgeting
Strong understanding of construction drawings, contracts, and specifications
Proven ability to manage timelines, budgets, and multiple concurrent projects
Knowledge of Ontario building practices, permits, and construction processes
Field construction experience and practical site knowledge strongly preferred
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, project scheduling, and construction management software
Ability to travel to project sites as required
