This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is early in their construction career and wants to learn the business from the ground up. Extensive construction experience is not required. We are more interested in finding someone who is reliable, honest, hardworking, comfortable on a job site, and eager to learn. For the right person, this position can develop into significantly more responsibility over time, with the potential to grow into an Assistant Superintendent and eventually a Superintendent role . About ReModern Builders ReModern Builders LLC, based in Watertown, MA , is an award-winning home builder and remodeler specializing in high-end additions and major renovations throughout the Greater Boston area. We work on challenging, architect-driven residential projects that require strong teamwork, attention to detail, organization, and high standards of craftsmanship. The Position The Construction Laborer will support our project teams with the day-to-day work required to keep residential job sites clean, organized, supplied, and moving efficiently. This is a hands-on entry-level position. You may be cleaning a job site, moving materials, picking up an order from a supplier, helping a carpenter, receiving a delivery, or handling another task needed to keep the project moving. Position: Construction Laborer Location: Greater Boston, generally within the Route 128 and I-495 areas Compensation: 20-25 per hour, depending on experience Schedule: Monday through Friday Job Type: Full-time Responsibilities Maintain clean, organized, and safe residential job sites. Move, load, unload, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment. Assist carpenters, project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors with general job-site tasks. Pick up and deliver materials, supplies, tools, and orders between job sites, vendors, and retailers. Assist with receiving and organizing job-site deliveries. Make material and supply purchases as directed. Perform basic demolition, cleanup, hauling, and general labor as needed. Help maintain company tools, equipment, materials, and job-site inventory. Support basic construction tasks when appropriate and learn from experienced team members and tradespeople. Help keep projects organized and address miscellaneous field needs as they arise. Follow company safety procedures and job-site expectations. Qualifications Construction experience is helpful but not required . Approximately 1 year of experience or exposure to a construction-related trade is preferred , including carpentry, drywall, electrical, plumbing, painting, remodeling, or similar work. Familiarity with construction job sites, tools, materials, or basic construction practices is a plus. Strong work ethic and willingness to take on a variety of tasks. Dependable, punctual, and trustworthy. Able to follow instructions and learn quickly. Good judgment and basic problem-solving ability. Comfortable performing physical work throughout the day. Able to work effectively as part of a construction team. Valid driver's license and a good driving record. Must have reliable personal transportation to start.
