Wood (trading locally as WOOD KSS LLP) is currently recruiting for Construction Engineer (Piping) with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry. Responsibilities: Responsible for day-to-day activities associated with the execution of the construction deliverables in accordance with the requirements of the contract between the company and the client, and in accordance with the company’s operating policies and principles Demonstrate Safety Leadership and fully conversant with WoodKSS and Project HSSE Plans Be fully conversant with Project Quality Plan and RoK standards ensuring full compliance Attend and Input into Site Surveys as and when required Attend weekly discipline engineering meetings and input on behalf of construction Works with engineering in the design phases to influence the design for optimum constructability Review and provide comment on Engineering Detail Design deliverables Input into the construction schedule in line with the development of the Engineering Job Packs ensuring constructability and safety are taken into consideration Develop method statements in line with the Engineering Job Packs, lead project team reviews re method statements, incorporate comments and issue deliverables via iPims Develop preservation procedure based on TCO Standards Responsible for execution of the construction related activities in accordance with the quality and safety standards specified for the project Ensure safety, quality and environmental responsibilities and accountabilities have been defined and communicated within their area(s) of control Initiate safety, quality and environmental processes within their area(s) of control, including toolbox meetings, inspections, and the identification, assessment and control of risks in accordance with WoodKSS and client requirements Qualifications: Higher technical education Appropriate level of field construction experience, typically gained through a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in a relevant industry
