Job Description

Reporting to the Safety Manager, this position is an integral part of Safety and Operations. The incumbent will deliver training sessions for all business units across the company, which will require travelling to various remote camps on a regular basis. The successful candidate is responsible for developing, facilitating and implementing training programs and courses as it pertains to Standard Work Instructions (SWIs) within Civeo. The incumbent will be travelling to various locations on a 12 hr/day, 15 days on 13 days off rotation which may include days, nights, weekend shifts and statutory holidays.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement Standard Work Instructions (SWIs) training programs and courses
Monitor and evaluate training programs and courses and their compliance with the requirements of the organization
Research, plan, organize and deliver training across the company for managers, supervisors and employees with regards to SWIs
Provide readiness assessments and monitor adherence to Civeo's training programs in advance of competency verifications
Prepare employees for competency evaluations by management
Provide feedback to employees regarding skill gaps and corresponding required training in order to meet the requirements of SWIs
Provide feedback regarding the quality and possible improvements for current SWIs to the Sr. Safety Manger and divisional managers
Document training and act as a liaison with Human Resources to ensure proper record keeping of training courses by utilizing Success Factors (SF) talent management system
Identify opportunities for any additional job and site specific training
Consult with and provide support to Operational management in verification of competency processes including feedback on training program effectiveness and process improvement
Qualifications
3-5 years of progressively responsible industry experience in hotel management and food service, which includes training and/or experience in Housekeeping and Kitchen procedures.
Post-secondary education in a Hotel Management, Business Administration, Culinary Arts or other related discipline. An equivalent combination of experience and education can be considered
Advanced proficiency in MS Window and MS Office
Demonstrated ability to train, coach, evaluate and improve others
Excellent listening, observing and critical thinking skills
Well-developed business acumen, management skills, and customer focus
Ability to facilitate training sessions on various levels within the organization, deliver public presentations, get message across and achieve expected results
Demonstrated experience in driving operational improvements and innovation
Strong focus on safety, quality of work and environmental awareness
Professionalism and great customer service sills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Great communication and interpersonal skills, including public speaking
Attention to details, accuracy and good problem solving skills

Must have a valid Class 5 Driver's License, with a 5-year driving record satisfactory to Civeo's driving criteria
Must be able to pass a pre-access Drug & Alcohol test
