Real Estate Lawyer – Commercial Real Estate, Toronto, Ontario
We are currently seeking Commercial Real Estate Lawyers to work with municipalities on matters related to commercial real estate management and funding of real estate ventures.
Responsibilities
Work with and advise corporate clients directly regarding commercial real estate matters, including purchase and sale of commercial property, acquisitions of business with a real estate component, development, and regulatory compliance.
Draft and negotiate leases, amendments, assignments, and renewals.
Assist with portfolio management and due diligence review, including environmental assessments.
Qualifications
Based in Ontario with active membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
Strong knowledge of Ontario real estate laws.
8+ years of experience with the purchase, sale, financing, development, and operation of commercial leasing while representing major developers, retailers, financial institutions, lenders, or pension funds.
Prior experience advising on funding of real estate ventures.
Experience working independently and cross‑functionally and taking on complex projects.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively advise clients and collaborate with project stakeholders.
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated total compensation for full‑time Axiom attorney roles is $104,500‑325,000 per year and for non‑attorney roles is $71,250‑309,750 per year. Compensation decisions are based on various factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs.
