The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Cognos Report Studio, data modeling, SQL, metadata, and enterprise data integration. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain IBM Cognos Analytics reports, dashboards, and reporting frameworks Design and develop reports using Cognos Report Studio Create and maintain data models, packages, and metadata layers Gather reporting requirements from business stakeholders and translate them into technical solutions Develop complex reports, queries, prompts, calculations, and dashboards Optimize report performance and resolve data and reporting issues Ensure data accuracy, consistency, security, and governance Integrate Cognos with enterprise data platforms including SQL Server, Oracle, and Azure Data Services Develop and optimize SQL queries for reporting and data validation Support production issues, enhancements, releases, and deployments Participate in UAT, testing, report validation, and defect resolution Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, database teams, and business stakeholders Prepare technical documentation, report specifications, and deployment procedures Follow enterprise BI development and data governance standards Required Qualifications 6 8 years of total IT experience Strong hands-on experience with IBM Cognos Analytics Strong experience with Cognos Report Studio Experience with Cognos data modeling, packages, and metadata layers Strong SQL skills and database knowledge Understanding of BI, data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL concepts Experience with SQL Server and Oracle Experience integrating Cognos with Azure data services Strong production support and troubleshooting experience Experience with UAT, validation, and release deployments Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Technical Skills IBM Cognos Analytics Cognos Report Studio Cognos Framework Manager Cognos Packages Data Modeling Metadata Management SQL / T-SQL SQL Server Oracle Azure Data Services Business Intelligence ETL Concepts Data Warehousing Dashboard Development Report Performance Tuning Data Validation UAT Production Support Release Management Key Competencies Cognos Development Report Studio Business Intelligence Data Modeling SQL & Data Analysis Reporting Solutions Performance Optimization Production Support Data Governance Stakeholder Collaboration
