CNC Supervisor / Lead Machinist at ZOOK — NeverHard

| Job Title: CNC Supervisor / Lead Machinist | Department: Machine Shop | Reports to: Operations Manager | Location: Metal Business Unit | Pay Rule: Hourly Job Summary: We are seeking a hands-on CNC Supervisor / Lead Machinist to support our Machine Shop Holder operations department. This role is ideal for a senior machinist or lead hand who enjoys staying technically involved while taking on leadership responsibility. You will play a key role in programming, setup, and machining while helping guide the day-to-day activities of the shop floor. Technical Responsibilities: Program, set up, and troubleshoot CNC mills and lathes Support complex jobs, new product setups, and process improvements Optimize machining processes, tooling, and cycle times Shop Floor Leadership: Coordinate daily shop priorities and workflow Support, coach, and guide machinists and operators Ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production practices Operations Support: Work closely with operations and maintenance to meet production targets Identify and resolve production or quality issues Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Ability to work overtime when required Will be required to support after hours emergency orders when required Requirements: 5+ years of machining experience (manual and CNC) Strong CNC programming capability (G-code and/or CAM software such as Mastercam or equivalent) Proven experience with manual mills, engine lathes, saws and associated tooling Proven experience with CNC mills and lathes and associated tooling Comfortable leading or mentoring others on the shop floor Nice to Have (Not Required): College diploma in machining and/or 429A Certificate of Qualification Proficient with using a PC Experience with Microsoft Office Experience with Microsoft Navision Dynamics or other ERP system Previous supervisory experience Working Conditions: Exposure to a manufacturing environment, which may include loud noise, dust, and varying temperatures Physical Requirements: PPEs: Steel toe shoes, ear plugs, safety glasses, cut gloves Walking 2+ hoursStanding 5+ hoursSitting 2+ hoursLifting 25+ lbsStair climbing OccasionalLadder Climbing OccasionalTravel to work Ability to drive a car or use public transit.Bending and Twisting Full torso and upper body repetitive movementDexterity Must have use of both hands (gripping, pinching and fine work)Push/Pull +20 lbsVibration hand, arms shoulders / upper body (Deburr, pedestal grinder)Vision Full & clear Why Join Us: Stay hands-on technically while developing leadership skills Opportunity to shape processes and improve shop performance Clear path for growth into broader operations or leadership roles Stable, team-oriented manufacturing environment About ZOOK: ZOOK is committed to finding pressure relief solutions for our customers that maximize our customers’ productivity and performance while keeping their people safe.
