LOCATION: Burnaby, BC WAGE RATE: $21.66/hourly SHIFT TYPE: Part Time SHIFT DAYS/HOURS: Monday - Friday (Hours vary) JOB OVERVIEW: You will be responsible for ensuring your building looks clean, presentable, and inviting. Some of the duties and responsibilities include maintaining common areas, and washrooms, mopping, sweeping, and wiping down the glass and other surfaces When you join the BEST - For A Cleaner World team, you’ll enjoy: Competitive hourly pay rates that are always above the provincial minimum wage An excellent company culture, with access to educational grants and regular team events and celebrations Employee recognition and appreciation programs, like our BEST Guusto program, which rewards employees that go above and beyond with prizes Opportunities for career advancement, on-the-job training, and upskilling within a quickly growing company DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Clean offices, auditoriums, class rooms, washrooms, kitchen, dining areas, halls, entrances/exits, reception areas and more; • Ensure proper sanitazation & disinfection procedures are followed; • Replenish supplies as needed; • Ensure garbage disposal in proper bins; • Clean all dry & wet spills throughout facility as required; • Maintain & secure storage areas, cleaning equipment & materials in an orderly manner; • Report equipment repairs and stock shortages; • Perform and/or report minor maintenance repairs; • Report damage & acts of vandalism; • Other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: • Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, products, and equipment • Knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System • Ability to read & understand labels & instructions • Previous custodial experience an asset • Acceptable security and criminal record check.
