We move large-format furniture and appliances directly into customer homes for some of the biggest retail brands in the country. We're a tight-knit, growing team and we take care of the people who take care of our customers. --- THE OPPORTUNITY We're hiring a full-time Class 5 In-Home Delivery Driver to join our last mile delivery team. This is a commission-based role with strong average annual earnings of $60,000 – $90,000 — your effort directly drives your income. The position is based out of Edmonton with a rotational travel schedule to Fort McMurray. When you're on rotation, WXD covers everything. --- WHAT YOU'LL DO - Deliver and set up large-format furniture and appliances in customer homes - Work as part of a two-person delivery team — load, haul, unload, and install - Conduct professional customer walk-throughs, collect signatures, and handle damage reporting - Complete daily pre-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) and keep your truck clean and organized - Process returns, exchanges, and customer pickups as directed by dispatch - Travel to Fort McMurray on a rotational schedule (schedule discussed at interview) - Represent Western Xpress professionally on every delivery --- FORT McMURRAY ROTATION — FULLY COVERED BY WXD When you're on rotation in Fort McMurray, we've got you covered: - Company-provided townhome accommodation — no hotel, no out-of-pocket costs - Daily per diem paid for every day on rotation - Travel and logistics fully coordinated by WXD --- WHAT YOU BRING - Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's licence (air brake endorsement is an asset) - Clean driver's abstract — no major infractions in the past 3 years - Able to repeatedly lift 50–100 lbs and maneuver large items through doorways and stairs - Strong customer service and communication skills - Professional appearance and steel-toed footwear on every shift - Willingness to complete a criminal record check prior to start - Flexibility to work varied hours and travel on rotation as required - Prior in-home or last mile delivery experience is a strong asset --- WHAT WE OFFER - Commission-based earnings averaging $60,000 – $90,000/year — top performers earn more - Company-provided townhome in Fort McMurray during rotation - Daily per diem on all rotation days — no out-of-pocket meal costs - Fully equipped vehicles, dollies, and delivery tools supplied - Consistent routes and scheduled shifts — stable, reliable work - Small, supportive team where you're treated like a person, not a number - Growing company with expanding routes across Western Canada --- We review applications as they come in and will be in touch promptly.
