Job DescriptionJob Description Class 1 Driver (Flat Deck) Location: Calgary, AB Company: Established Transport Services Company Compensation: $25–35/hour (based on experience) About the Opportunity Our Client is seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver to join its growing team. This role is ideal for a safety-focused professional who enjoys a variety of work, including local deliveries and occasional regional travel depending on project requirements. If you're an experienced flat deck driver who takes pride in your work and thrives in a team-oriented environment, we'd love to hear from you. Responsibilities Safely transport materials and equipment throughout Calgary and surrounding regions Secure and inspect loads in accordance with industry regulations and company standards Operate manual transmission commercial vehicles Load and unload materials using a picker or forklift Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Maintain accurate logbooks and required documentation Deliver exceptional service while representing the company professionally Adhere to all safety policies, regulations, and transportation legislation Required Qualifications Non-Negotiable Requirements Valid Alberta Class 1 Driver's Licence Air Brake (Q) Endorsement Minimum 5 years of commercial flat deck driving experience Experience operating a picker and/or forklift Comfortable driving manual transmission commercial trucks Preferred Attributes Strong understanding of load securement practices Excellent safety record and clean commercial driver's abstract Reliable, punctual, and professional Strong communication and customer service skills Able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team What You'll Receive Competitive hourly wage of $25–35/hour , depending on experience Primarily local work with some regional travel based on project requirements Stable, long-term opportunity with a respected Alberta transportation company Supportive team environment Opportunity to work on a variety of industrial and construction-related projects
