We are seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer - Discipline Lead to join a growing engineering team in Hamilton, Ontario. This role is ideal for a senior engineering professional who enjoys remaining hands-on with technical project delivery while also leading and mentoring a team of engineers. Immediate Hire Why Join Our Client: - Salary: $93,000 - $124,000 - Work on diverse, impactful projects with a talented, supportive team - Opportunities for career growth in a fast-paced, stimulating environment - Hybrid work options, flexible schedule, and commitment to safety - Comprehensive benefits including dental, vision, life insurance, RRSP match, and paid time off Responsibilities: - Lead the civil/structural engineering scope on complex heavy industrial projects from concept through construction support. - Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams to ensure safe, high-quality, and cost-effective project execution. - Prepare, review, and approve engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, and construction drawing packages. - Provide technical expertise in the design and assessment of industrial structures, including equipment foundations, pipe racks, crane runways, and industrial buildings. - Review and seal engineering documents in accordance with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) requirements. - Participate in client meetings, site investigations, condition assessments, and construction support activities. - Mentor, coach, and provide technical guidance to engineers and engineering graduates within the team. - Support business development activities, project proposals, budgeting, resource planning, and client relationship management. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering. - Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario. - Minimum 10 years of civil/structural engineering experience, preferably within a heavy industrial consulting environment. - Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering projects and technical teams. - Strong knowledge of applicable design codes and standards, including NBC, CSA, AISC, ACI, and ASCE. - Proficiency with structural design and analysis software such as STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, and/or IDEA StatiCa. - Excellent communication, leadership, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
