Job DescriptionJob Description Civil Labourer – East Kootenay Region Cranbrook, BC | Full-Time With over 15 years in the civil construction industry on Vancouver Island, Milestone Equipment Contracting Inc. has built its reputation through strong relationships, operational excellence, and a commitment to investing in people. As we expand into the East Kootenay region, we are looking for hardworking Labourers who want to help build something meaningful and long-term alongside a growing, values-driven company. Milestone Contracting is establishing a long-term presence in the East Kootenay region and is seeking Civil Labourers to join our growing team. This role is based out of Cranbrook, BC, with projects located throughout the Kootenays. Travel between projects may be required and will be compensated. We are looking for reliable, motivated individuals who take pride in working hard, supporting their crew, and contributing to safe and productive job sites. What You’ll Be Doing As a Labourer, you will support civil construction crews on a variety of infrastructure and utility projects. Responsibilities include: Assisting crews with day-to-day construction activities Supporting underground utility, grading, and earthworks operations General site cleanup and organization Assisting Operators, Pipelayers, and Foremen as needed Loading and unloading materials and tools Following safe work practices and company safety standards Working outdoors in varying weather conditions Contributing to a strong, respectful, and team-oriented work environment What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate will bring: Strong work ethic and positive attitude Ability to work well within a team environment Willingness to learn and grow within the civil construction industry Reliability, accountability, and professionalism Ability to work in physically demanding environments Strong awareness of job site safety Civil construction experience is considered an asset but is not required for the right candidate. Local East Kootenay experience and knowledge are considered strong assets. Qualifications Valid Class 5 Driver’s License considered an asset Ability to perform physically demanding work Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Strong work ethic, collaborative and posses a growth mindset Safety certifications considered an asset Why Join Milestone?
