About the Role
The Infracon Group of Companies is seeking experienced
Civil Construction Foremen
for potential upcoming civil construction, mining, and pipeline maintenance work across Western Canada.
This role is best suited for a hands-on field leader with strong civil construction experience and the ability to lead crews safely, efficiently, and professionally. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating daily field activities, directing workers and equipment, supporting production targets, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring work is completed according to project requirements.
Our projects may include road construction, earthworks, drainage, utility installation, pipeline maintenance, mine support work, site development, reclamation, and civil infrastructure upgrades. We are looking for foremen who can lead by example, communicate clearly, solve problems in the field, and keep crews focused on safe, productive, and quality work.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced foremen who enjoy varied project work and are open to supporting projects in different locations throughout Western Canada.
Key Responsibilities
Field Leadership & Crew Supervision
Lead and coordinate daily field activities for civil construction, mining, and pipeline maintenance projects
Supervise labourers, operators, truck drivers, subcontractors, and other field personnel as required
Provide clear direction to crews to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project expectations
Support daily planning, task assignment, sequencing, and coordination of labour, equipment, and materials
Monitor crew productivity and adjust work plans as needed to support project timelines
Lead by example by demonstrating professionalism, accountability, and a strong commitment to safety
Maintain a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment
Civil Construction Coordination
Support road construction, earthworks, drainage, utilities, site development, reclamation, and pipeline maintenance activities
Coordinate work around active equipment, traffic, utilities, excavation areas, slopes, and changing site conditions
Review project drawings, specifications, grade information, and field instructions as required
Work closely with superintendents, project managers, surveyors, HSE, subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives
Identify field issues early and help develop practical solutions to keep work moving
Ensure work is completed to quality standards, project specifications, and supervisor direction
Support efficient material handling, equipment utilization, and site organization
Safety & Compliance
Promote and maintain a strong safety culture on site
Ensure crews follow all company, client, and project safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices
Lead or participate in daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, field-level hazard assessments, inspections, and site orientations
Identify and correct unsafe conditions, behaviours, or work practices
Ensure workers use required personal protective equipment and follow site-specific requirements
Report hazards, incidents, near misses, injuries, equipment damage, and environmental concerns promptly
Support incident investigations, corrective actions, and follow-up as required

Quality, Production & Documentation
Monitor work quality and ensure completed work meets project specifications and expectations
Track daily progress, crew activities, equipment use, materials, delays, and issues as required
Complete or support daily field reports, time records, safety documentation, pre-use inspections, and other project paperwork
Communicate production updates, site conditions, and project concerns to supervision
Help reduce rework by confirming requirements, communicating clearly, and monitoring work as it progresses
Maintain organized records and ensure documentation is accurate and submitted in a timely manner
Equipment, Materials & Site Organization
Coordinate equipment, tools, materials, and personnel to support daily work plans
Ensure equipment is used safely, efficiently, and appropriately for the task
Monitor equipment needs, maintenance concerns, and repair requirements
Coordinate deliveries, staging areas, access routes, laydown areas, and work zones
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
Support efficient use of materials and reduce unnecessary waste or delays
What You Bring
Strong civil construction experience with proven ability to lead field crews
Experience in road construction, earthworks, drainage, utilities, pipeline maintenance, mining support, or related work
Ability to plan and coordinate daily field activities, labour, equipment, and materials
Strong understanding of safe work practices, hazard identification, and field-level risk management
Clear communication skills and ability to provide direction to crews
Ability to read and understand drawings, grade information, site plans, and specifications
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing site conditions
Reliable, accountable, and willing to travel for project-based work
Strong organizational skills and ability to complete required documentation
Team-oriented leadership style with a focus on safety, production, and quality
Qualifications
Previous experience as a civil construction foreman, lead hand, or senior field supervisor is required
Experience in civil construction, mining, pipeline maintenance, road construction, drainage, utilities, reclamation, or earthworks is strongly preferred
Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and reliable transportation are preferred
Equipment operating experience is considered an asset
Ability to read drawings, specifications, grade stakes, and site plans is considered an asset
Ground Disturbance, CSTS, WHMIS, First Aid, H2S Alive, Leadership for Safety Excellence, or other safety certifications are considered assets depending on project requirements
Strong computer or mobile app skills for completing field reports, time records, safety forms, and project documentation are considered an asset
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and site conditions
Ability to travel to project locations throughout Western Canada as required
Must be eligible to work in Canada
Drug and alcohol testing may be required depending on client, site, or project requirements
Working Conditions

Work may take place in civil construction, mining, industrial, pipeline, roadwork, reclamation, or remote project environments
Outdoor work in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, snow, dust, mud, and uneven terrain
Exposure to active equipment, traffic, noise, haul roads, slopes, excavations, tools, and changing site conditions
Physically active role requiring walking, standing, climbing in and out of equipment or vehicles, and regular site coordination
Shift schedules, rotations, overtime, and travel requirements may vary by project
Living out allowance, camp, travel, or other project-specific arrangements may apply depending on location and project terms
Compensation & Benefits
Wage range of $39.00 – $45.00 per hour
