Position Summary
This course is a continuation of CHIN 111. Students will review the pronunciation system and build on the vocabulary, structure, and grammar concepts introduced in CHIN 111; students will also be introduced to additional characters. Further emphasis on communicative competence and cross-cultural understanding.
Responsibilities
Deliver the face‑to‑face course on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 to 12:45 on campus.
Provide one office hour per week.
Prepare instructional materials, including teaching philosophy statements, course outlines, and teaching evaluations.
Assist with grading and any preparatory work before the start date and post‑termination tasks as required.
Qualifications
At least a B.A. in a related discipline.
Native or near‑native fluency in Mandarin and English.
Experience and evidence of teaching ability at the university level.
Preference will be given to applicants with more teaching experience in the relevant area.
