Salary: $57,704 - $85,745 About Kenora Rainy River Districts Child and Family Services: Kenora-Rainy River Districts Child and Family Services is a non-profit community organization funded by the Government of Ontario, legally mandated to protect children and youth from abuse and neglect through the Child and Family Services Act. Position Summary: The Child and Youth Mental Health Clinician (CYMHC) is responsible for providing Children’s Mental Health services including assessment, consultation, and intervention. Primary responsibilities involve individual and family assessments as well as individual, family and group treatment. The CYMHC also provides consultation to other staff, agencies, and professionals in the provision of services to children and families. Knowledge and Skills Required: Must be familiar with and provide services in compliance with prescribed agency, ministry and legal standards. Excellent documentation skills that meet compliance with prescribed agency, ministry, and legal standards. Must have excellent time management skills to meet the demands of a heavy case load and reporting deadlines with accuracy and professionalism. Experience and knowledge of therapeutic tools / interventions. Must be able to work in a team setting and independently. Must have thorough knowledge of relevant legislation, agency policies and procedures. Qualifications: Degree or diploma in Social Work or related. Education must allow for registration under the Psychotherapy Act. Two to three years experience in Children’s Mental Health. Be a member in good standing or able to immediately become a member of a College recognized by the Psychotherapy Act (The Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers ,The College of Nurses of Ontario, The College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario, The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, The College of Psychologists of Ontario, The College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario), as authorized to practise the protected act of psychotherapy. Applicants with similar academic qualifications and related experience may be considered. Required: Must possess a valid Class G Ontario Driver's Licence and have access to a reliable vehicle with OPCF6A Insurance endorsement and minimum of $1000 000.00 Liability. Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector check, Internal Records Check and Driver’s Abstract.
