About the Opportunity
Develop and execute a financial strategy aligned with overall business objectives
Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO and executive team to support decision-making
Monitor financial performance, identify improvement areas, and recommend actions
Assess risks and opportunities and implement mitigation strategies
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow managementManage dual revenue recognition: Percentage-of-Completion (construction) and Point-of-Sale/Delivery (manufacturing)
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
Establish and maintain effective internal controls
Optimize capital structure and financing activities
Lead strategic initiatives and priorities in support of growth and operational excellence
Financial Analysis & Reporting
Perform variance, cost, and profitability analysis
Prepare and present financial results, forecasts, and KPIs to executive leadership and the Board
Deliver actionable insights to drive efficiency and profitability
Implement risk management frameworks to mitigate financial exposure
Ensure compliance with US GAAP and Canadian ASPE/IFRS, including construction revenue recognition
Mitigate FX exposure across USD/CAD transactions
Oversee construction and manufacturing insurance programs
Lead internal and external audits and liaise with auditors
Build and lead a high-performing finance team
Foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Partner cross-functionally to support business objectives
About You
Construction industry experience preferred, ideally with percentage-of-completion accounting
Proven ownership of EBITDA and cash flow forecasting
Strong forecasting, budgeting, and business insight capabilities
Collaborative leadership style, partnering effectively with the C-suite
Experience in a growth / scaling environment
Hands‑on leadership approach with a willingness to stay close to the business and add value
Must currently reside within the Greater Toronto Area and be permitted to work in Canada
Salary Range
$250,000 - $300,000 / year
