A career as a Chief Advisor in the Strategy and Corporate Development team at National Bank involves influencing strategic and financial decisions, representing the Bank in project management and collaborating with third parties, consultants, and advisors. Responsibilities Analyze the business context and identify opportunities. Coordinate analysis, negotiation and execution of M&A, corporate divestment and strategic partnership activities. Oversee the financial analysis of various projects. Support development and follow‑up of the Bank’s strategic plan and annual business plan. Participate in identifying organic growth areas. Conduct additional analyses as requested by senior management to improve strategic positioning. Manage matrix project teams for analysis and execution of growth or divestment opportunities, engaging staff from other units and external resources. Benchmark strategic and corporate development initiatives within the industry. Your Team Within the Strategy and Corporate Development group, you will be part of a team of five colleagues and report directly to the VP, Corporate Development Strategy. The team serves as a centre of expertise for environmental strategic monitoring, corporate strategy advice, and evaluation of investments or strategic partnerships. Prerequisite Industry‑related bachelor’s degree and 12 years of relevant experience or industry‑related master’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience. CPA (CMA, CGA, CA) or Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. Experience managing teams in matrix mode. Experience in business strategy and corporate development. Experience in valuation, business acquisition and due diligence. Ability to work under pressure and meet demanding deadlines. Excellent listening, communication, influencing and writing skills.
