Job DescriptionJob Description Job Title: Chemist Job Description The Chemist will support analytical testing and quality control activities within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products while supporting manufacturing and development operations. Responsibilities Perform testing on raw materials, in-process, and finished products. Execute analytical methods such as HPLC, UV, and FTIR. Support method development and validation activities. Conduct stability studies and reporting. Investigate Out of Specification (OOS) and Out of Trend (OOT) results and support quality investigations. Maintain accurate documentation in line with GMP, GLP, and ALCOA+ requirements. Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment. Collaborate with QA, Manufacturing, and R&D teams. Essential Skills Proficiency in analytical chemistry and pharmaceutical practices. Experience with HPLC is required. Knowledge of GMP regulations. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or a related field. 1–3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical or analytical lab. Hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation. Work Environment The position is an onsite lab-based role supporting production ramp-up and new projects within a growing pharmaceutical environment. The current work schedule is a standard day shift from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential shifts as production scales. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Mississauga, ON. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr. Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Mississauga,ON.
