Hammerstone
is seeking a Certified Heavy Duty Mechanic (Off-Road) to join our quarry team. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of hands-on experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing the following equipment, or similar heavy machinery:
Komatsu:
1250 Excavators, 375 Dozer, 155 Dozer, 605 Haul Trucks, 785 Haul Trucks, 600 Loaders, 500 Loaders
Liebherr:
9150 Excavator, 776 Dozer
Hitachi/John Deere:
450 & 470 Excavators
Sandvik:
Drills
Small generator sets, light plants, and water pumps
Qualifications
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a 5-year clean driver’s abstract
Valid
Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certificate
Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with heavy equipment maintenance
Knowledge and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required under OHS regulations
Ability to lift and handle heavy components safely
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also working independently and self-directed as required
Compensation

Schedule
12-hour shifts
15 days on / 15 days off
