Job DescriptionJob Description Level II Certified Dental Assistant – Maternity Leave Coverage Milltown Dental is looking for a friendly, dependable, and experienced Level II Certified Dental Assistant to join our team for temporary maternity-leave coverage beginning at the end of September 2026. Schedule: Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday: 12:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m. Alternating Saturdays: 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Responsibilities: Chairside assisting during a variety of dental procedures Taking dental radiographs Performing Level II duties within the assistant’s qualifications Preparing and turning over treatment rooms Following current IPAC and sterilization protocols Maintaining accurate and complete patient records Supporting patient comfort and explaining procedures when appropriate Assisting with inventory and other clinical responsibilities Communicating effectively and working cooperatively with the entire dental team Required qualifications: NDAEB-certified Level II Dental Assistant HARP qualified Current CPR certification Strong understanding of Ontario IPAC requirements Excellent communication, organization and teamwork skills Dependable, professional and committed to providing an excellent patient experience Previous dental assisting experience and familiarity with Dentrix would be considered assets. This is a temporary maternity-leave position, with the possibility of continued employment depending on the needs of the practice.
