Job Description DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES A CDL-A Driver is a vital member of our transportation team, responsible for the safe and timely delivery of metal roofing, wall panel systems, trim, and related building products to customers and job sites. You will be responsible for (but not limited to): Safely operating a Class A commercial vehicle to transport metal building products to customer locations Loading, securing, transporting, and unloading materials in accordance with DOT regulations and company safety standards Operating a Moffett forklift for job site and customer-side unloading Performing pre-trip, post-trip, and routine vehicle inspections Verifying load accuracy against shipping documentation prior to departure Maintaining accurate delivery records, logs, and required transportation documentation Communicating professionally with dispatch, plant personnel, and customers regarding delivery schedules and updates Ensuring all loads are properly secured to prevent damage during transit Adhering to all federal, state, and local transportation regulations Reporting vehicle maintenance concerns or delivery issues promptly Providing excellent customer service during deliveries Assisting with yard organization and trailer movement as needed
