Position Overview
Westerner Park is seeking service-oriented and reliable
Catering & Banquet Servers
to join our Food & Beverage Services team. These casual positions play an important role in supporting the successful delivery of catering and banquet events by providing professional food and beverage service, assisting with event setup and execution, and ensuring guests receive a positive and memorable experience.
Under the direction of the Food & Beverage Services Manager, Catering & Banquet Servers are responsible for supporting event operations, maintaining high service standards, and delivering exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced, event-driven environment. These positions are scheduled on an as-needed basis based on event requirements and operational needs. Hours are not guaranteed and will vary depending on event schedules and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Catering & Banquet Servers are responsible for the following:
Execute catering and banquet event orders in accordance with client requirements and management direction.
Provide professional and attentive service to guests while maintaining Westerner Park’s service standards.
Support positive client experiences by building strong relationships and providing exceptional event support.
Attend event meetings as required and communicate event details effectively with team members.
Set up, maintain, and tear down function spaces, including tables, chairs, dishware, glassware, linens, and other event requirements.
Refresh event spaces during breaks while minimizing disruption to guests and presentations.
Serve food and beverages in a timely and professional manner while maintaining knowledge of menu items and preparation methods.
Clear tables, replace dishware, replenish supplies, and maintain cleanliness throughout events.
Maintain inventory levels and communicate supply needs to the appropriate team members.
Ensure function rooms, storage areas, and service areas are clean, organized, and maintained to established standards.
Complete post-event documentation, notes, and tracking requirements as assigned.
Perform general cleaning duties and assigned projects in a timely manner.
Adapt to changing event requirements and perform other related duties as assigned.

Here is What you Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience in a hotel, catering, banquet, or hospitality environment is required.
ProServe certification is required, or the ability and willingness to obtain certification within three months of hire.
Knowledge and experience with catering and banquet event setups.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to provide exceptional guest service.
Ability to follow direction, work independently, and contribute effectively as part of a team.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and variable shifts based on event schedules and operational needs.
Must meet the legal age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages.
Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and a minimum of three years of driving experience.
