Location:
Medicine Hat, AB, Canada
Schedule:
Day & Overnight Rotations (12-hour shifts; site-dependent)
Pay Rate:
$17.00/hour

Overview
Paladin Security is seeking motivated and professional Security Guards to join our team in Medicine Hat and the surrounding area. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining safety, and responding effectively in high-pressure situations.
This is a physically demanding role requiring extensive walking, stair climbing, and the ability to remain alert and composed throughout long shifts. Security Guards may be assigned to a variety of sites and must be flexible to work both day and overnight rotations.
Responsibilities
Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a strong professional presence
Conduct proactive patrols to ensure site safety and policy compliance
Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents
De-escalate conflicts and support individuals in distress
Liaise with emergency responders including police, fire, and paramedics
Perform crowd control and remove trespassers when necessary
Write clear and detailed incident, emergency, and daily reports
Provide first aid and medical response when required
Operate two-way radios and computer systems for communication and reporting
Manage lost and found items and respond to related inquiries
Requirements
Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Alberta Security License
Physically fit and able to walk long distances and climb stairs
Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure situations
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
High level of observation and situational awareness
Legally authorized to work in Canada
Nice to Have
Class 5 Advance Alberta Driver’s License
6+ months of security experience
Ability to work 12-hour shifts
