We are currently seeking a qualified and enthusiastic individual to assume the position of Library Page with the Community Services Department. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Reporting to the Library Manager and under the direct supervision of the Library Technician, the incumbent assists with the day-to-day operation of the Library. Tasks include:Sorting and shelving materials;Reading shelves for accuracy (alphabetical and numerical);Unpacking and packing boxes of books and other library materials;Keeping public areas tidy including clearing study tables. QUALIFICATIONSGeneral knowledge of library proceduresStrong interpersonal skillsApplicants must be able to stand for long periods of time, push a cart and bend over to shelve books.A Criminal Records Check must be completed prior to commencing workMust be available to work evenings and weekendsThe rate of pay for this position is $18.64 per hour.
