Description Reporting to the Supervisor, Roadway Operations - Engineering and Operations Department the incumbent will perform work, which is physically strenuous in nature and involves the use of hand tools and/or manually operated equipment. Assignments will require the operation of Municipal vehicles. The incumbent may work under supervision and receive daily instruction. Qualifications Required : Secondary education (Grade 12 G.E.D. is acceptable). Valid NB Class 5 driver’s license required. **You must attach a copy of a valid driver’s license and a current copy of your driver’s abstract in your application. Valid NB Class 3 driver’s license would be considered an asset. A clear Driver’s Abstract is required as condition of employment. What You’ll Do : Performs work related to the construction and maintenance of streets, curbs, sidewalks, and storm sewer utilities. Working around heavy equipment, interacting with public, working in traffic. Performs related work as required. Ability to work after hours and willingness to work shifts as required. What You’ll Bring : Ability to follow instructions accurately as issued by a Foreman or Supervisor. Knowledge of the occupational hazards involved and the safety precautions necessary in work assignments. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills are required.
