Carpenter Brandon, MB Penn-co Construction, a leading construction company, is seeking Carpenters to join our team for projects in Brandon, Manitoba. Job Duties Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications Measure, cut, and assemble wood, steel, and other framing materials Construct walls, floors, roofs, stairs, and other structural components Install sheathing, backing, blocking, and other framing elements Layout building components according to plans and project requirements Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely Ensure framing is plumb, level, square, and in compliance with project specifications Work collaboratively with supervisors, project managers, and other trades Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Identify and communicate project issues, deficiencies, or safety concerns Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations Mentor apprentices and less experienced workers as required Requirements Journeyperson Carpenter certification or equivalent framing experience preferred 35 years of relevant framing experience required; candidates with commercial or residential experience are encouraged to apply. Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Proficient in the use of hand and power tools Strong problem-solving and organizational skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to lead a team The care and effort required to maintain quality workmanship, minimize deficiencies and maintain Penn-cos reputation in the industry Must have reliable transportation to and from work Penn-co has been in business for 65 years!
