Job DescriptionJob Description Job Title: Formwork Carpenter Job Description We are seeking a skilled Formwork Carpenter to join our team for a commercial building project. The primary focus will be on formwork carpentry, including tasks such as constructing footings, foundation walls, columns, and concrete cores. The role requires proficiency in using basic hand and power tools, reading blueprints, and managing material movement, sweeping, and site cleanup. Initiative and independent thinking are highly valued. Responsibilities Perform formwork carpentry tasks including footings, foundation walls, columns, and concrete cores. Use basic hand and power tools efficiently. Read and interpret blueprints accurately. Move materials and lumber as required. Maintain site cleanliness through sweeping and cleanup. Demonstrate initiative and independent thinking in task execution. Essential Skills Minimum of 3 years of carpentry experience on commercial or residential construction sites. At least 2 years of formwork carpentry experience. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Possession of a vehicle to access the site in Langford. Good communication skills and a positive attitude. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in building stairs is advantageous. Experience with hand and power tools. Possession of a Fall Protection certification is preferred. Why Work Here?
