These opportunities are for Canadian RNs who have completed the NCLEX-RN, have at least one year of recent Cath Lab experience, and are willing to relocate to the United States. Depending on experience and employer needs, positions may be available in cardiac catheterization laboratories, interventional cardiology departments, electrophysiology labs, and cardiac recovery units. Responsibilities Responsibilities vary by hospital and may include: Preparing patients for diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures Assisting with cardiac catheterizations, angioplasty, stent placement, and related procedures Monitoring patients before, during, and after procedures Administering medications and conscious sedation within the RN’s scope of practice Responding to cardiac emergencies Maintaining sterile technique Operating and monitoring Cath Lab equipment Documenting procedures, medications, and patient outcomes Educating patients and families Collaborating with cardiologists and multidisciplinary clinical teams Participating in an on-call rotation when required Minimum Requirements Canadian citizenship; required for TN visa eligibility Active Canadian RN registration in good standing NCLEX-RN successfully completed Eligibility to obtain a nursing licence in the applicable U.S. state At least one year of recent hospital-based Cath Lab RN experience Current BLS and ACLS certifications Strong English communication skills Willingness to relocate to the United States Ability to satisfy hospital screening and health requirements A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred and may be required by certain employers. Preferred Qualifications VisaScreen or Visa4Nurses Certificate completed or in progress Two or more years of Cath Lab experience Interventional cardiology or electrophysiology experience Cardiac recovery, ICU, CVICU, or CCU experience Conscious sedation experience Previous Cath Lab on-call experience Compensation and Benefits U.S. hospital employers offer approximately $32 to $75 USD per hour , depending on location, schedule, experience, and position. This is approximately $44 to $104 CAD per hour for comparison purposes. Exchange rates fluctuate, and employees are paid in U.S. dollars.
