Pipeline Manager
to oversee the seamless execution of critical projects and ensure the efficient flow of resources, information, and deliverables for our Canadian pipelines.
The Canadian pipelines scope ranges from Sarnia, Ontario, Edmonton Alberta, & St-Augustin, Quebec. They serve the Hydrogen business in the Edmonton and Ontario areas. The Edmonton E1 & E2 production facilities and the Scotford facility supply the Heartland pipeline servicing 7 customers. In Sarnia, there are 2 inactive RFG pipelines and a 30 km long pipeline supplying 4 customers. The St-Augustin site has 2 small inactive nitrogen pipelines.
The Canadian Pipeline Manager reports to the North America (NA) Pipeline Manager with dotted line reporting to the Operations Line Manager - North. The role is responsible for all day‑to‑day operations & maintenance of the pipeline work and for supervising the Pipeline Field Technicians. The manager ensures that operation and maintenance meet or exceed all government regulations at both provincial and federal levels, provides training and expertise to the Pipeline Technician, engages with customers, account managers, and plant operations, and manages spending budgets and participates in the annual budgeting process.

Required Skills / Abilities
Experience navigating, interpreting, and managing compliance with Canadian regulatory requirements.
Demonstrated organizational and interpersonal skills.
A strong commitment to employee involvement, team building and diversity.
Demonstrated managerial skills & strong communication skills.
Experience driving continuous improvement in an operating environment; RCA facilitator skills preferred.
Proven ability to manage development, creation, and deployment of systems and work processes.
Strong computer skill (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is a must; SAP experience is an asset.
Experience with customer interaction and communications.
Key Job Responsibilities
Implement a strong safety program for the Canadian Pipeline group.
Support all aspects of the overall day‑to‑day operation of the pipeline.
Work with Local Business Manager on customer requirements for alignment.
Develop pipeline dedicated personnel.
Handle pipeline budgets.
Develop and implement projects for safety, reliability, and productivity related activities.
Minimum Hiring Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as engineering, science, or technology.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in plant/pipeline, maintenance, or engineering management.
Proven track record of success in safety and quality.
Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Expertise in control, SCADA, and communication systems preferred but not critical.
Ability to travel across Canada and the USA, if required.
SAP knowledge a plus.
