Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are recruiting for a casual on call Bylaw Enforcement Officer to work with us in Salmo! This is a great way to gain valuable bylaw experience and support your community. We are looking for someone who is available on Wednesday from 9am. Payrate: $18.25/hr Some of your responsibilities include: Respond to and investigate bylaw complaints concerning infractions and violations of the Village of Salmo Educate and provide explanation of bylaws to the public Provide superior customer service to both the client and the general public Proactively respond to and resolve emergency situations and conflicts Keep clear records and logs of incidents Effectively communicate problems or concerns to the management team Your Must-Haves: Bylaw Level 1 certificate (can be provided upon hire) You have exceptional customer service skills You can communicate clearly and effectively You possess excellent multi-tasking, problem solving, prioritizing, and organizational abilities You are physically able to be up on your feet for the shift and are capable of lifting a minimum of 20 lbs Clean criminal record You have a willingness to learn, stay up to date on, and communicate local bylaws Your Nice-To-Haves: BC Security Worker License OFA1 Valid BC Driver's License with clear driver's abstract What’s in it for you A challenging yet rewarding work environment A community-focused career Working for a company that cares for and gives back to the local community Competitive wages you’re a good fit if… You have excellent customer service and communication skills You enjoy working outdoors You have high attention to detail You take pride in your work Our Story Commissionaires BC is a Canadian, not-for-profit security/enforcement organization that has been in business since 1927.
