What You Will Do:
The
Buyer
is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, ensuring timely procurement, and supporting operational efficiency across branches. You will work with your team members to deliver a high-quality customer experience that exceeds customer expectations through the following tasks:
Oversee, prepare, and process all branch purchase orders.
Monitor demand trends and adjust stocking levels for seasonality, sales variations, and competitive changes.
Review critical inventory reports daily to prevent stockouts and expedite orders when necessary.
Collaborate with category management to source substitutions and address supply chain issues.
Communicate promptly with stakeholders regarding supplier ETA changes or delivery delays.
Investigate and resolve inventory shortages, discrepancies, and obsolete stock issues.
Maintain target inventory fill rates while minimizing overstock.
Lead branch meetings and participate in supply chain calls to share updates and improvement initiatives.

What We Require:
2+ years of working experience in inventory control procedures, supply chain management, warehousing or purchasing is preferred
Post-secondary education in supply chain management is preferred
Experience with ERP Systems is preferred
Must be able to meet the physical requirements: Frequent sitting, standing and walking inside the branch, manual dexterity to operate a computer, occasionally required to reach with hands and arms as well as climb stairs in FGI facilities, occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds from the floor to the waist
Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel (Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPS) and other standard office equipment
Excellent customer service skills
Strong communication skills, including both written and verbal
Team-oriented, adaptable, with a commitment to safety excellence
Heavy duty parts knowledge or background is an asset
