What & Why:
Our client is seeking a Business Relationship Manager to serve as the primary bridge between Digital Technology and the business. You'll own the relationship with key business functions including Property Management, Investments, Finance, and ESG, shaping technology demand, holding the readiness gate, and ensuring initiatives are well-defined and sponsored before they enter delivery. You'll also lead the Business Analysis practice, setting standards and coaching a team of three BAs. This is a senior, trust-based role for someone who thrives on building relationships at every level of an organization and wants to leave a lasting mark on how a function is built.
Who:
Our client is a people-first Canadian real estate developer and property manager with a substantial portfolio spanning rental apartments, condominiums, and industrial and office properties. Their Digital Technology team of approximately 30 has just completed a full reorg designed to position the group for its goals over the next 3-5 years. They have been named a BC Top Employer five consecutive years, with integrity, collaboration, and humility are genuinely lived values here, not just talking points.
You:
You'll bring the following experience and capabilities:
7+ years of experience in business relationship management, business analysis, or similar senior roles
Proven ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with senior and executive stakeholders, with measurable outcomes to show for it
5+ years of people management or team leadership experience, including managing direct reports
Strong BA foundation: you know how discovery, problem framing, and requirements development should be done, and you can coach others to that standard.
Ability to hold and enforce a readiness gate: you educate stakeholders and push back on demand that isn't ready, rather than accommodating workarounds
Experience defining and tracking business benefits tied to measurable outcomes
Strong communication skills across executive and delivery levels, comfortable pivoting between frontline staff and C-suite in the same week
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary: $120,000 - $150,000.
