1. College certificate/diploma in Business, Secretarial or Office Administration (or Business experience)
2. At least 3 years relevant work experience in a scheduling/administrative environment.
3. In-depth knowledge of Union and Non-Union contracts and language related to CUPE, and ability to apply collective agreement language.
4. In-depth knowledge of human resource policies, procedures and a demonstrated ability to interpret and consistently apply this knowledge.
5. Experience with Kronos ESP (Environment for Scheduling Personnel) Software or other automated scheduling software is an asset.
6. Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access and keyboarding skills of 40WPM.
7. Excellent organizational and time management skills
8. Proven communication skills\: verbal, written and interpersonal.
9. Thrives on being a creative problem solver.
10. Excellent Listening skills and client relationship skills.
11. Ability to be self-directed and take initiative while working independently and remaining focused on an assignment through to delivery.

Reporting to the Business Manager – Pharmacy, the Business Clerk is responsible for the provision of scheduling services to support Pharmacy programs and designated service/care areas.
HHS Pharmacy is a multi-site department offering a wide range of services within inpatient, ambulatory and retail pharmacy settings. Our pharmacy facilities are physically located at the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre, Hamilton General Hospital, McMaster Children's Hospital, St Peters Hospital, and West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, and also provide services to the Urgent Care Centre and Satellite Health Facility. We are a tertiary care center offering a wide range of specialty patient services ranging from neonatal, pediatric/adult medical and surgical services, hematology/oncology, geriatric and palliative care, and are collaborators for clinical trials and research, with a staff of over 350 pharmacy professionals and support personnel.
