Role Overview
Enfinite is seeking an experienced Business Central Finance Transformation Consultant to support the execution of a strategic finance and ERP optimization roadmap. Working closely with the Controller and Finance team, the consultant will design and implement scalable financial processes, governance structures, reporting frameworks, and system configurations within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
This engagement is focused on accelerating the maturity of Enfinites finance function while establishing a scalable foundation to support future growth, acquisitions, and operational expansion.
The successful candidate will combine strong Business Central expertise with practical accounting knowledge and experience implementing finance transformation initiatives in growing organizations.
Core Responsibilities
Workflow & Approval Automation
Design, configure, test, and implement automated approval workflows within Business Central, including:
Accounts Payable approval workflows.
Purchase approval workflows.
Delegation of Authority integration.
Workflow governance and administration standards.
User training and knowledge transfer.
Consolidation & Intercompany Framework
Design and implement a scalable consolidation structure to support multi-entity financial reporting, including:
Business Central consolidation company configuration.
Intercompany accounting framework.
Elimination methodology and processes.
Consolidated financial reporting structure.
Month-end consolidation procedures.
Documentation and training materials.
Chart of Accounts & Dimension Strategy
Develop a future-state accounting structure that supports operational, financial, and management reporting requirements, including:
Chart of Accounts redesign.
Dimension strategy and governance.
Reporting hierarchy design.
Standardized coding framework.
Future growth and acquisition considerations.
Entity Configuration & Financial Governance
Review and standardize accounting configurations across all entities, including:
General posting groups.
Posting setups
Inventory posting configurations
Financial account structures
System governance standards
Documentation of configuration decisions
Acquisition & New Entity Template Development
Create a standardized framework for future growth initiatives, including:
New legal entity setup template
Acquisition onboarding standards
Accounting configuration requirements
Chart of Accounts and dimension deployment standards
Integration and reporting requirements
Project Accounting Framework
Design and implement project accounting standards to improve governance and reporting visibility, including:
Project setup standards
Cost tracking methodologies
Approval requirements
Reporting structures and templates
Fixed Asset Module Optimization
Implement and standardize fixed asset management processes within Business Central, including:
Asset classification structure
Asset reporting requirements
Fixed asset workflow and controls
Documentation and training
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA designation or an equivalent professional designation/accounting experience is considered an asset.
3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
Strong working knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS).
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems .
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Extensive experience implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Finance modules.
Strong understanding of accounting processes and financial reporting requirements.
Experience designing and implementing finance workflows, controls and governance frameworks.
Experience with multi-entity accounting, consolidations, and intercompany accounting.
Experience developing Chart of Accounts and dimension structures.
Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations, or ERP standardized initiatives.
Proven ability to lead finance transformation projects independently.
