Summary
Life support instructors teach AHA certified life support courses to learners, trainees, and faculty throughout the Baylor College of Medicine institution.
Job Duties
Instructs learners in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) courses.
Maintains equipment for all courses above including reporting of non-functioning equipment, troubleshooting equipment, setup and breakdown/storage of equipment at each course session.
Sets up classroom, manikins, and equipment for training and prepare equipment for storage following training.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or GED. Preferred Bachelor’s degree.
Four years of relevant experience. No experience required with Bachelor’s degree.
BLS, ACLS, PALS instructor Certification by the American Heart Association.
