Role Description This full-time, on-site Vehicle Mechanic role is located in Courtice, ON. The Vehicle Mechanic will perform daily diagnostic work on vehicles, carry out routine maintenance, and complete repair tasks on transmissions and related systems. Responsibilities include inspecting vehicles, identifying mechanical issues, troubleshooting complex problems, and performing maintenance and repair on a variety of vehicle types and, where applicable, heavy equipment. The role involves maintaining accurate service records, following safety procedures, and communicating clearly with supervisors and team members about repair needs and timelines. The Vehicle Mechanic may also assist in prioritizing work orders and supporting junior staff with technical guidance. Qualifications Strong technical skills in Vehicle Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair across a range of vehicles. Ability to perform effective Troubleshooting and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and transmission-related issues. Supervisory Skills to help coordinate tasks, support team members, and maintain an organized work environment. Relevant trade certification or apprenticeship as an automotive or truck and coach technician is preferred. Understanding of safety regulations, proper use of tools and diagnostic equipment, and adherence to shop safety protocols. Ability to read and interpret repair manuals, technical diagrams, and work orders. Reliable, punctual, and able to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and working in various shop conditions. Employment Compensation Starting wage for a Licensed 310S individual is $34.00 per hour. The rate is negotiable depending on the individuals performance and years in the trade. There is a performance bonus that gets paid out monthly. $4,000 signing bonus. Paid week off at the Christmas Break. Benefits after 6 months. 3 weeks of holidays. Working Hours 44 hours each week with No Weekend shifts. Overtime is often available. Monday to Thursday 7:00am to 5:00pm and Friday 7:00am to 1:00pm
