PASS 324 - Attendance Support Officer ATTENDANCE AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES Posted May 21, 2026 Internal and External Date of Appointment: Immediately 1 Permanent Position: Vacancy Reporting to: Senior Manager, Labour & Employee Relations Description: Implementing, administering and coordinating the Board's Attendance Support Policy. Monitoring, analyzing, tracking and identifying trends of absenteeism through attendance data. Monitoring and maintaining current and historical absence and vacation data for all Board employees. Producing statistical and analytical reports on absence occurrences for all employee groups. Providing appropriate support within the scope of the position. Key Accountabilities: Daily absence reporting, notifying individuals of their status as per the Attendance Support Policy; Facilitates and leads attendance support meetings held with employees and their union representatives to understand reasons for absenteeism and to develop strategies or accommodation plans to support regular attendance Ensures that absence reporting protocol is being adhered to at all times and works collaboratively with Principals, Managers and Supervisors regarding staff absences; Completes the year end process for absence records (annual statement, rollover of credits, allocation of new credits) as required for different employee groups; Monitors and adjusts data transferred from the Board's Absence Reporting system into the Boards current HRIS system; Produces statistical and analytical reports on absenteeism as required; Works closely with other HR staff and schools verifying data for attendance support purposes; Supports enhancements to systems and processes to improve data quality and operational efficiencies Performs other duties as required and assigned Qualifications: Post-secondary diploma/degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent; Preferred 3-4 years' experience in areas of attendance support, disability mgmt., labour relations or related field; Minimum CHRP or working towards Preferred experience in school board environment; Experience working with a highly unionized setting; Proven interpersonal and communication skills; Proven computer skills working with different software applications, ie Excel, Word etc. Ability to learn and utilize new software packages completely is essential; Willingness to work in a team environment; Some travel may be required Location: Human Resources Department Fr.
