What is the opportunity? We are seeking a self‑motivated and well‑organized relationship‑manager to support an existing portfolio of tech clients in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for the bank with a diverse group of clients with differing needs and your task will be to bring the best of RBC and RBCx to their doorstep. This role will work 4 days in the office and 1 day remotely. What will you do? Manage, retain and deepen our relationships with a portfolio of mostly boot‑strapped tech clients through the delivery of an exceptional client experience (CX) Become a trusted advisor to our clients and play a role as a partner in their growth Leverage the tools and systems in place at RBC, as well as your understanding of each client’s business model, cash management needs and long‑term goals to provide financial solutions, strategic advice and introductions to people or businesses who can help our clients succeed, e.g., RBC internal partners such as Treasury Solutions Specialists, Deposit Specialists, Capital Markets and Foreign Exchange experts, Group Advantage experts, City National Bank staff, as well as external partners such as BDC, etc. Apply a continuous‑improvement approach to delivering superior client experience Lead the KYC and AML processes, and achieve key portfolio quality metrics and compliance with all relevant internal policies What do you need to succeed? Must‑have Passion for the tech sector: you want to play a role in Canada’s innovation economy Excitement for trying new things: RBCx is building an end‑to‑end platform complete with capital and non‑capital solutions to help our clients thrive. Being able to embrace a near‑constant state of improvement and innovation will be paramount Empathy for the unknown and ever‑changing: a tech company's needs can change often and you need to be comfortable with throwing plans out the window and going back to the drawing board as and when needed but without sacrificing priorities Some service and sales experience: at least 2 years of experience in a service and/or sales environment with strong communication and relationship‑management skills Nice‑to‑have Experience as an entrepreneur, launching a business, working in a start‑up, or advising/mentoring and working with early‑stage tech startups at an accelerator, incubator, innovation hub or a venture capital fund A developed understanding of the tech ecosystem and the challenges to growth for a tech startup in Canada Academic exposure through a post‑secondary diploma/degree in commerce or business administration or sciences‑related degree and/or related experience 3 or more years of experience in commercial lending/business banking, or in a business development and/or client relationship management or client service role What’s in it for you?
