Associate, Corporate Banking Business Enablement, Global Banking & Markets – Toronto, ON Global Banking and Markets (GBM) conducts the Bank’s wholesale banking and capital markets business with corporate, government and institutional investor clients. GBM is a full-service wholesale bank and investment dealer in Canada and Mexico and offers a range of products and services in the U.S., Latin America and in select markets in Europe and Asia-Pacific. GBM provides clients with: corporate lending; transaction banking (including payments, trade finance and cash management); investment banking (including corporate finance and mergers & acquisitions); fixed income and equity underwriting, sales, trading and research; prime services (prime brokerage and stock lending); foreign exchange sales and trading; commodity derivatives; and collateral management. Purpose Contribute and support the profitable growth of GBM globally, ensuring that business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed and delivered upon. What You’ll Do Actively be involved in the GBM deal flow on a global basis with day‑to‑day responsibilities including reviewing deal forum materials and managing processes Support and facilitate the overall reporting of transaction outcomes for opportunities while liaising with key departments such as CIB, COO, Finance/Capital Management, Client Analytics and GRM Contribute to Corporate Banking portfolio management through holistic review of profitability and client plans Assist with industry reviews and other ad‑hoc reporting based on business needs Apply the Bank’s strategy and risk appetite to day‑to‑day decision making Build and maintain relationships with stakeholder groups to understand the drivers of profitability and proposed changes Maintain in‑depth knowledge of the Bank’s risk appetite and culture, and work with business groups to identify opportunities and concerns in particular business lines or industries Operate in a high‑performance environment and foster an inclusive, customer‑focused culture within the team What You’ll Bring Minimum of three years of progressive, relevant and practical experience Professional risk‑related accreditation desirable (e.g., CA, CPA, CFA) Experience in bank lending/adjudication, market risk and/or credit risk Solid understanding of various debt products and derivatives and their uses Knowledge of general accounting and risk management principles (GAAP, GARP, etc.) Familiarity with broad tax, regulatory and compliance principles and regulations Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and MS Co‑Pilot Knowledge of the Bank’s policies, procedures and related risk management culture and appetite Awareness of the evolving global business environment and ability to incorporate these factors into risk assessment, monitoring and management processes Work Arrangement This is an onsite role, requiring five days per week in the office.
