Position Summary
To assist the Housekeeping Manager in ensuring the smooth and consistent operation of housekeeping and the highest standards are met and maintained, service is attentive, friendly, efficient and courteous.
What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standard:
Motivating, coaching, and inspiring team members to provide exceptional services to our guests
Ensure policies and procedures are followed consistently through daily operations
Assist in the day-to-day operations of housekeeping, including, but not limited to scheduling, cost control, labour control, payroll, ordering, and coding invoices
Assists with hiring, training, introduction of new team members and performance reviews
Monthly linen inventory
Maintaining par levels and inventory of all supplies
Collaborates effectively with all other department heads and leaders
Thinks and acts with the guest in mind, makes guest service a priority
Work closely with the Front Office, Reservations and Maintenance Teams to ensure a premium guest room experience
Ensure that health, wellness, and safety standards are met and exceeded, including knowledge of and proper use of cleaning and other chemicals, safe work practices, etc.
Responsible for the highest standards of conduct, integrity and ethics of yourself or any other department and reporting any complains, concerns or irregularities to directly to the Housekeeping Manager or General Manager
Deals with guest concerns in a professional and courteous manner
Efficiently acts upon feedback of team members to ensure a positive experience for the housekeeping team
Participate in meetings when the Manager is unable to attend to ensure communication is maintained
Other duties as assigned
Available to work varied shifts: days, weekends, and holidays
What are we looking for?
To successfully fill this role, you should demonstrate the following:
Previous experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor and/or Housekeeping Manager is required
Experience in a similar environment will be an asset, with a proven ability to provide professional, friendly and engaging service
Is highly organized and has very effective time management skills
Committed to delivering high levels of customer service
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent interpersonal skills
