Job Overview Join a locally owned and operated store to help deliver health, beauty and convenience services in your community, and keep the customer at the centre of everything you do. Summary To assist the Front Store Manager (FSM) in managing the human, physical and financial resources of the store and in ensuring that store objectives are achieved by focusing on improving product flow from the backroom to the sales floor. Responsibilities Maintain store standards to optimize customer experience and positively impact store profitability. Ensure store standards are in effect 100% of the time, including the backroom. Help manage labour scheduling with the FSM, leveraging Work Force Management (WFM) to maximize labour productivity. Ensure staffing levels are adequate to effectively operate the business. Comply with Human Resources standards. Assist with hiring (excluding Pharmacy) in conjunction with the FSM. Maintain wage administration within SLPH guidelines. Drive Blue Culture, engagement, and lead and motivate staff through core values. Qualifications Previous retail management experience. Planning, judgement and decision‑making skills. Ability to plan and prepare inventory management. Use judgement and decision‑making skills to control expenses. Provide effective leadership and ongoing mentorship to staff. Efficient time management skills and ability to prioritize activities quickly in response to changing initiatives. Effective organisational and planning skills. Demonstrated ability to drive the business, lead by example and support corporate programmes. Works effectively with management team. Superior interpersonal, coaching and communication skills. Business and financial acumen. Relationship builder with key internal and external agencies.
