About the Company Our client is a publicly listed manufacturer and technology company. They are looking for an Assistant Controller who will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, and month-end close activities. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate financial operations across multiple entities, currencies, and jurisdictions while supporting a growing public company environment. Opportunity to work closely with a strong and collaborative finance leadership team ~ Exposure to international operations, foreign exchange transactions, intercompany accounting, and multi-jurisdictional business activities ~ Significant autonomy and ownership over accounting operations ~ Growing public company environment with opportunities to improve processes and build infrastructure ~ Responsible for the day to day accounting ~ Overseeing AP / AR for the company, Payroll, Accounting. AP / AR positions will report to Assistant Controller. ~ Coverage for Corporate Controller when on vacation Banking ~ Make payments (A/P, Payroll) ~ Ensure all entries are posted and balance sheet accounts are reconciled by end of business day 5 ~ Review the company’s month end entries and reconciliations for: Bank, Prepaids, A/P, Credit Cards, A/R, Extended Warranties, Commissions, Accrued Payroll and Vacation ~ Prepare the company’s month end entries and reconciliations for: Inventory, Accrued Liabilities, Loans, Leases, PPE, Intangibles, Unearned Revenue, Warranty ~ Prepare reconciliations ~ Prepare monthly cash flow information summary (to facilitate the preparation of consolidated cash flow statement) ~ Work with business leaders to prepare income statement variance analysis (compare to budget and prior month), to ensure completeness of monthly accounting entries and to facilitate communication around monthly results for senior leadership team, BOD, and bank. After month end entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis is complete, prepare documents to support the preparation of notes to the financial statement and other schedules required for MDA CPA designation or working towards CPA ~5+ years of day-to-day accounting experience, hands on experience with AR, AP, payroll, banking, and month-end close ~ Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
