New Horizon Co-op is hiring anAsset Protection Specialistat our Downtown Food Store in Grande Prairie, Alberta.

What youll do:
Monitor multiple store locations to prevent theft, fraud, and safety issues
Conduct site audits to ensure compliance with loss prevention measures
Monitor CCTV footage and assist the Director of Risk in asset protection investigations
Respond to incidents at locations like theft, fuel spills, or safety concern.
Keep detailed reports of any incidents or unusual activity
Provide training to staff on theft prevention
Drive and operate the Community Cruiser to support the unhoused by distributing food, water, clothing, and other essentials
Work with local law enforcement or emergency services when needed
Other duties as required

Who you are and what you have:
Valid Class 5 AB drivers license with clean abstract
Must be bondable
Strong observation and incident response skills
Experience in security, loss prevention, or customer service
Comfortable working independently and traveling between sites
Knowledge of liquor, tobacco, and fuel regulations
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical patrols
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Loss Prevention Foundation (LPF) Certification
SSIA License in the province of Alberta would be considered an asset.
Available to work on a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends
