Job DescriptionJob Description Job Title: Assembly Tool Technician Shift - Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Wage - $27-31/hr. Job Description The Assembly Tool Technician works on the service side of a busy oil and gas equipment facility, receiving rented downhole tools, performing mechanical inspection and repair, and preparing them for safe and reliable return to the field. Responsibilities Receive and intake rented downhole tools, including jars, shocks, mud motors, and other tubular equipment, upon arrival at the facility. Clean tools that are heavily soiled with mud, oil, and other debris to prepare them for inspection and repair. Disassemble mechanical components of downhole tools in accordance with service procedures and work instructions. Inspect parts and assemblies for wear, damage, and defects, and identify components that require repair or replacement. Replace worn or damaged parts using appropriate tools, equipment, and approved replacement components. Reassemble tools accurately, ensuring all components are installed correctly and securely. Use measurement tools such as tape measures and calipers to verify dimensions and tolerances during inspection and assembly. Job Requirements At least 1 year of industrial assembly and disassembly experience in a manufacturing setting. Mechanically inclined Hand and power tools Overhead crane experience Sit-down forklift with at least 1 year of hands-on experience. Ability to safely lift and move heavy items up to 50 lbs as part of daily work. Using measurement tools such as tape measures and calipers for inspection and assembly.
