Job description:
Tackpoint LP is a well-established company that designs and builds custom bearings and machined solutions used in a wide range of industrial applications. We take pride in quality, accuracy, and teamwork, and we're looking for an Assembly Technician to join our growing team.
This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in doing things right, and values seeing a job through to completion. While you'll be working with precision components, you don't need to be an expert on day one. We're looking for someone who is detail-oriented, curious, and eager to learn.
You'll be responsible for assembling and preparing bearing components for customers. The work requires focus and care, but no two days are exactly the same. This is not a fast-paced assembly line role; instead, you'll own your work from start to finish and enjoy variety in your daily tasks.
What You'll Do
Assemble bearing components by following clear work instructions
Inspect completed work to ensure quality and accuracy
Use basic measuring tools to check sizes and fit
Count and verify parts for assemblies and customer orders
Mark or identify parts as required
Complete simple paperwork and documentation related to orders
Help receive parts and keep inventory organized
Prepare shipments and boxes with accurate labels and paperwork
Keep your workspace clean, organized, and safe
What We're Looking For
Strong attention to detail and pride in accurate work
Ability to follow instructions and stay focused
Comfortable working with numbers, counting parts, and basic measurements
Basic computer skills for documentation and order tracking
Ability to work independently and take responsibility for your work
Forklift experience is an asset, but not required
Benefits

Employee assistance program
Extended health care
Life insurance
On-site parking
Paid time off
