Job DescriptionJob Description
Prepare weekly assembly schedules and subcontractor plans, send weekly releases to subcontractors based on customer requirements, and manage subcontractors' ability to meet requirements
Review customer demands for fluctuation and adjust subcontractors' requirements accordingly
Monitor daily production output versus production schedule to ensure customer demand quantity is met
Identify gaps and drive solutions, including a metric on production performance to the requested production schedule
Update schedule daily with production quantities and balance owing
Coordinate freight to and from subcontractors to ensure customer requirements are met
Generate outside service packing slip for drivers, and perform incoming receipts in CMS
Review inventory levels of subcontractor and finished goods to ensure inventory turn targets are achieved
Maintain a lean manufacturing culture driving run size and safety level improvements
Liaise between production and shipping to ensure on time delivery
Review inventory level of finished goods and WIP to ensure inventory turn targets are achieved
Assist Inventory Control Analyst determine root cause and develop corrective actions for inventory variance issues. (May need to assist with production reporting and scrap CMS entries)
Complete all Engineering change related activities (e.g. Bank build, build out, engineering level change, new part #) and all APQP related activities as required
Ensure all subcontractors are providing an approved Martinrea barcode label with all incoming products
Participate in internal quality audits to determine the effectiveness of the quality system
Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards and legislation including Environmental Legislation, O. Reg 851 for Industrial Establishments, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (with emphasis on Section 28)
Abide by all Company policies including, but not limited to Health & Safety, Quality & Environmental Systems, HR policies and Martinrea Employee Handbook
