Assembler/Line Operator
Job Description
This role involves assembling valves and related components in a high-quality manufacturing environment, starting with manual assembly tasks and potentially progressing into fully automatic and semi-automatic robotic assembly areas. You will use both manual and automated equipment to build precision components, perform quality checks, and support efficient, reliable production.
Responsibilities
Perform manual assembly of valves, including hand screwing bolts and inserting sleeves that resemble small bearings.
Carry out repetitive assembly tasks with consistent accuracy and attention to detail.
Operate and monitor automated assembly equipment, including Cell and Autoline production systems.
Ensure machinery runs efficiently and produces quality components that meet production standards.
Load materials into machines, perform regular equipment checks, and troubleshoot minor operational issues.
Monitor production output to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance tasks to support equipment reliability.
Follow all safety, quality, and standard operating procedures in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Conduct quality checks using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure components meet specifications.
Accurately complete production documentation and promptly report equipment concerns to supervisors.
Collaborate with team members and support different production tasks as needed, including potential movement into fully automatic and semi-automatic robotic assembly areas.
Lift and handle materials and components weighing up to 50 lbs as part of daily tasks.
Essential Skills
At least 1.5 years of machine operating experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
At least 1 year of hands-on assembly experience.
Proficiency in assembly and mechanical assembly tasks.
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Strong manual dexterity for small, precise assembly work.
Quality-focused mindset with experience performing quality checks.
Ability to use calipers for measurement and verification.
Experience performing multiple different jobs in a production environment.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly.
Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while following safety and quality procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience with automated assembly equipment, including Cell and Autoline systems, is an asset.
Familiarity with basic equipment checks, troubleshooting, and minor maintenance.
Strong attention to detail and consistency in repetitive tasks.
Good communication skills for reporting equipment issues and completing production documentation accurately.
Flexibility to move between manual, fully automatic, and semi-automatic robotic assembly areas as needed.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
