Asbestos Abatement Worker Location: Kingston, Ontario (ON) Job Type: Contract Start Date: June 22, 2026 Pay Rate: $25/hour Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (8am to 5pm) Job Description: We are seeking experienced Asbestos Abatement Workers for a project in Kingston, ON . Candidates will be responsible for the safe removal, handling, containment, and disposal of asbestos-containing materials while maintaining compliance with provincial regulations and site safety requirements. Responsibilities: Perform asbestos abatement and remediation activities. Set up and maintain containment areas. Follow asbestos removal procedures and safety protocols. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly. Conduct site cleanup and proper disposal of hazardous materials. Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations. Complete required documentation and reporting. Mandatory Requirements: Valid Asbestos Worker Certificate Working at Heights (WAH) WHMIS 4 Steps Safety Awareness Training Ability to work after-hours shifts Reliable transportation to project site Security Clearance Requirements: Candidates must have one of the following: OPS Contractor Security Clearance (General) OR If clearance is not available: Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check ( CRJMC ) Local Police Clearance Primary Skills: Asbestos Abatement Hazardous Material Removal Containment Setup Decontamination Procedures Environmental Health & Safety Compliance Secondary Skills: Construction Labor Demolition Support PPE Usage WHMIS Compliance Working at Heights Site Cleanup & Waste Handling Safety Documentation Preferred Qualifications: Previous asbestos remediation experience Knowledge of Ontario asbestos regulations Strong commitment to workplace safety Ability to work independently and as part of a team Apply today if you meet the certification and clearance requirements and are available to start on June 22nd.
